The Arson Bomb Squad reports the details of a Fire that occurred on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 2:04 a.m. in Elmont.
According to Detectives, Fifth Precinct officers responded to a house fire at a Norfeld Boulevard residence. Upon arrival, officers were notified that the homeowner was still inside the residence. Officers entered the residence and were able to remove a 77-year-old female from the residence. The female was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Four Nassau County officers received minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Additionally, five Elmont Fire Department personnel had minor injuries, three were treated at the scene and two were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The Elmont Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire. The Nassau County Fire Marshall and Arson Bomb Squad also responded to the scene. The Town of Hempstead Building Department was notified. The investigation is ongoing.
