The Narcotics Vice Squad reports the arrest of two individuals for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance that occurred on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 4:50 PM in Hempstead.
According to detectives, an investigation into a fatal overdose that occurred in Nassau County led detectives to 55 Nassau Place in Hempstead. Defendant William Billups, 54, of 55 Nassau Place Apartment 2C, was arrested at scene without incident. Defendant Tomeko Bradely, 51, of 81 Stevens Street, Freeport was also arrested at scene without incident.
While at scene, detectives recovered 43 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine, 52 grams of a substance believed to be crack cocaine, 6 grams of a substance believed to be heroin, 110 envelopes containing a substance believed to be heroin and 5 pills believed to be oxycodone/acetaminophen.
Defendant William Billups is charged with seven counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th Degree and one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree. Defendant Tomeko Bradley is charged with six counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th Degree and one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree. They will be arraigned on Friday, July 25, 2025, at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
