The Third Squad reports the arrest of an Island Park woman for an incident that occurred on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 5:25 PM in Carle Place.
According to detectives, officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at 285 Old Country Road for a report of a male bleeding. Upon arrival it was determined that a 56-year-old male victim had been stabbed in the arm and back. The defendant, Courtney Tolbert, 37, was placed under arrest at scene without incident. The male victim was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition. A knife was recovered at scene.
Defendant Courtney Tolbert is charged with Assault 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree. She will be arraigned on Friday, July 25, 2025, at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
