NATIONAL NIGHT OUT
County Executive Bruce A. Blakeman and Police Commissioner Patrick J. Ryder announce that the Nassau County Police Department will be participating in the “41st Annual National Night Out” a unique crime and drug prevention event.
NATIONAL NIGHT OUT is designed to:
- An annual event to build the relationship with our local Communities
- Generate support for, and participation in local programs
- Strengthen neighborhood spirits and police-community partnerships
When: Tuesday, August 5, 2025

National Night Out Events Scheduled in Nassau County:
1st Pct.
- Baldwin High School: 841 Ethel T. Kloberg Drive, Baldwin, 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Sponsored by Legislator Mule. Child ID kits and Crime Prevention literature will be available.
- John J. Byrne Community Center: 925 Jerusalem Ave., Uniondale, 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Sponsored by Legislator Nicks. Child ID kits and Crime Prevention literature will be available.
2nd Pct.
- Syosset- Woodbury Community Park: 7800 Jericho Tpke., Woodbury, in the parking lot. 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Partnered with Legislators Drucker, Walker, and Goetz. This event is sponsored by the Superior Officers Association and local vendors. It will feature entertainment, family activities and giveaways.
3rd Pct
- Martin “Bunky” Reid Park: Broadway Ave, Westbury, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. This event starts with a parade which will assemble at 5:00 pm at the Salvation Army located at 992 Prospect Avenue and begin at 5:30 pm. The parade will proceed westbound on Prospect Avenue turning left onto Swalm Street continue across Broadway before entering into the park. At the conclusion of the parade there will be a fair in the park beginning at 6:00 pm and concluding at 8:00 pm. Legislator Bynoe and the Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Jennifer DeSana are participating in the event.
- Children’s Ride for a safer Williston Park: Line-up at 6:30 pm at Broad St & Amherst St., Williston Park. The Parade begins at 7:00pm and ends at Kelleher Field. Mayor Paul Ehrbar will be participating in the event.
4th Pct.
- Cedarhurst Park(Andrew J. Parise Park): located on Cedarhurst and Summit Avenue, Cedarhurst, 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm during a “Concert in the Park”. Crime prevention literature will be distributed.
5th Pct
- Rath Park: 849 Fenworth Boulevard, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Organized by Legislator Solages, Green Acres Mall management, the local Civic Association, the local Chambers of Commerce and Auxiliary Police. Raffles, Touch-A-Truck and Food Trucks are planned.
6th Pct.
- Whitney Pond Park: 133 Valley Road, Manhasset, 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Crime prevention literature will be distributed. There will be arts & crafts, ice cream trucks, food vendors and children’s safety and fire awareness lectures.
7th Pct
- John Burns Park: Merrick Road in Massapequa. 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Held in conjunction with "Music Under the Stars" program which begins at 8:00 pm. Residents will have an opportunity to speak with their local precinct personnel and receive crime prevention tips.
8th Pct
- Bethpage High School: 10 Cherry Avenue, Bethpage, 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Legislators Walker is sponsoring this event. Music provided by the “Tom Chupka and Friends” band. There will be face painting, giveaways and snacks. Bethpage FD "Smoke House" fire prevention trailer will be there.
