The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Fatal Vehicular Accident that occurred on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 11:58 pm in Bethpage.

According to Detectives, a 40-year-old female operating a 2008 Honda Accord was traveling northbound on Seamans Neck Road when she was in a head on collision with a 2013 Honda Pilot, operated by a 54-year-old male traveling southbound. The female driver was pronounced at scene by a police medic. The male victim was transported to a local area hospital where he is listed in critical condition. A thorough investigation was conducted and it was determined the male driver, Joseph Curto, 54, of 671 Priscilla Place, Seaford, was intoxicated at the time of the accident.  He was placed under arrest without incident. The investigation is ongoing.

 Defendant Curto is charged with DWI.  He will be arraigned when medically practical.
