The Narcotics Vice Squad reports the arrest of a Bethpage man for Criminal Possession of a Weapon that occurred on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. in Carle Place.

According to Detectives, while on routine patrol they observed a black Toyota Camry fail to use a turn signal near the intersection of Jericho Turnpike and Roxbury Road. Detectives activated their emergency lights and attempted to initiate a Vehicle and Traffic Law stop. The vehicle continued driving and Detectives observed the driver throw a dark item from the vehicle in the vicinity of Old Westbury Road. The defendant, Daniel Lim, 34, of 52 Floral Avenue did stop his vehicle at Glen Cove Road and Old Westbury Road and was taken into custody without further incident. The investigation resulted in detectives recovering a loaded 9mm handgun, pills believed to be Ecstasy, and a substance believed to be Psilocybin Mushrooms.

Defendant Lim is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2^nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3^rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, and 3 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7^th Degree. He was arraigned on Saturday May 17, 2025 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
