The Public Information Office reports the details of an incident that occurred on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at 12:04 PM in Wantagh.
According to Police, 7th Precinct Officers responded to Wantagh Park located at 1 King Road for a call of a possible drowning. Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive 44 year old male partially submerged in the water. Officers administered chest compressions at which time the aided expelled water. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
