The Special Victims Squad reports the arrest of a Brooklyn man for a sex offense that occurred on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 11:55 a.m. in Hempstead.

According to Detectives, Manuel Lopez Gil, 30, of 350 45^th Street, apartment 2L, sexually assaulted a 17-year-old female on Friday, June 13, 2025. Defendant Lopez Gil was arrested by Special Victims Detectives with the assistance of the Nassau County Police Department Second Squad and the New York City Police Department on Saturday, June 21, 2025 in the confines of Brooklyn.

Defendant Manuel Lopez Gil is charged with two counts of Rape 1^st Degree and Sexual Abuse 1^st Degree. He will be arraigned on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
