The Sixth Squad reports on the arrest of a Queens man for the Criminal Possession of Stolen Property that occurred on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 3:51 AM in Roslyn.
According to Detectives, Sixth Precinct Officers responded to a call of a suspicious person wearing a dark facial covering and shining a flashlight into parked vehicles on Northern Boulevard. Officers located the person on Northern Boulevard where he fled on foot and was soon after placed under arrest with the assistance of the Canine Unit (K9) and a Nassau County Police Helicopter. During the investigation, defendant Alex Hines, 53 of 13429 228th Street, Laurelton was found to be in the possession of a wallet containing credit cards that did not belong to him. Defendant Alex Hines was transported to a nearby hospital for assessment and treatment.
Defendant Alex Hines is charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, Criminal Trespass 3rd degree and the Mask Transparency Act. He was released on a desk appearance ticket that is returnable to First District Court on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
