The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Fatal Vehicular Accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Monday, May 19, 2025 at 6:38 PM in Flower Hill.
According to detectives, a 12 year old male ran across Middle Neck Road outside of a crosswalk in the vicinity of Northern Boulevard, when he was struck by a 2023 Ford pickup truck being operated by an 18 year old male northbound on Middle Neck Road. The 12 year old male was transported to an area hospital in critical condition where he was pronounced by hospital staff.
The driver of the vehicle remained at scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
