The Seventh Squad reports the arrest of a Seaford man for an Assault that occurred on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 3:45 a.m. in Seaford.

According to Detectives, Seventh Precinct Officers responded to Sidney Court for a disturbance. The 41-year-old male victim was working as a Lyft driver when he got into a verbal argument with defendant, James Turchi, 46, of 3794 Mill Road. The argument escalated and the defendant hit the victims phone out of his hand causing damage. He also struck the victim with a bat multiple times in his head and knee. The victim refused medical attention at scene. The defendant was arrested without incident.

Defendant Turchi is charged with Assault 2^nd Degree, Criminal Mischief 3^rd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4^th Degree. He will be arraigned on Friday, May 30, 2025 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
