The Fourth Squad reports the arrest of an East Rockaway man for a sexual abuse incident that occurred on August 10, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in Oceanside.
According to detectives, the defendant, Joseph Piccolo, 61, of 16 Main Street, Apt. 1K, owner of Pizzaiola Oceanside, 3191 Long Beach Road, did invite a 15-year-old female employee into his private office. He told her to come back to the restaurant after work, when nobody else would be present so he could give her extra money without the other employees noticing. Once entering the restaurants office, the victim was handed $200 (U.S.) and the defendant began touching her. The victim, in fear of further abuse left the restaurant and informed her father what had occurred and they reported the incident to police. The defendant was placed under arrest on August 15, 2025 at 4:10 p.m. at Nassau County Police Department’s Fourth Precinct, 1699 Broadway in Hewlett, without incident.
The defendant, Joseph Piccolo is charged with Forcible Touching, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Sexual Abuse, 3rd degree. He was arraigned on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
