The Public Information Office reports the details of an incident that occurred on Monday, August 25, 2025 at 10:20 AM in Oceanside.
According to Police, Fourth Precinct Officers responded to Earth-Tec Recycling, located at 495 Wood Street for reports of multiple injuries. Upon arrival, Officers located two male victims who were injured when a conveyer belt fell on top of them. Both victims were extracted from under of the conveyer belt with assistance from the Nassau County Police Emergency Service Unit (ESU) and the Oceanside Fire Department. The first victim, a 62-year-old male victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by the Oceanside Fire Department to a nearby hospital for treatment. The second victim, a 68-year-old male sustained serious injuries and was airlifted by a Nassau County Police Helicopter to a nearby hospital for treatment, he is listed as critical but stable condition at this time.
