The Homicide Squad is investigating a Fatal Vehicular Accident that occurred on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 11:09 p.m. in Freeport.
According to detectives, a male, 23, was operating a 2022 Honda eastbound on Atlantic Avenue and collided with a 2015 Honda being operated by a 55-year-old male, northbound on S. Long Beach Road.
Both operators were transported to area hospitals.
The 55-year-old male suffered severe trauma and was pronounced at 11:49 pm by a hospital physician.
The investigation is ongoing.
