The Seventh Squad reports the details of a Grand Larceny that occurred on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at 11:56 am in Merrick.
According to Detectives, a 42-year-old male victim had just left Frankie’s Pizzeria and was walking through the parking lot, located at 1696 Merrick Road, when an unknown male subject approached him and told him the victim’s sweatshirt had lotion on it. The victim went to his car and removed his sweatshirt which contained an envelope containing cash in his front sweatshirt pocket. Male subject one, left on foot in an unknown direction. At this time, unknown male subject two, approached the victim and pointed at his sweatshirt and started speaking in Spanish. The 2nd subject then left the scene on foot in an unknown direction. The victim realized his envelope containing his money was now missing. After a thorough police investigation, it was determined that the subjects had squirted the victim from behind with an unknown lotion while the victim was exiting the pizzeria. The investigation is ongoing.
Both subjects are described as male Hispanics, approximately 5’11” tall, 180 pounds, wearing blue jeans, black sweatshirt and a blue hat.
