The Sixth Squad reports the arrest of a Farmingdale woman for multiple Robberies that occurred from Tuesday, November 8, 2022 through Thursday, June 15, 2023 in Floral Park.
According to Detectives, the Sixth Squad, along with, the Fifth and Eighth Squads have multiple victims that report being robbed, assaulted, and kidnapped after soliciting a person they met through an online escort advertisement. After further investigation, defendant April Summers, 35, of 775 Conklin Street, was located and arrested at the Floral Park Motor Inn, 30 Jericho Turnpike. She was violent and combative while resisting arrest. The victims state that defendant Summers would demand additional money and if the victims did not comply, she would steal from them, assault them, threaten them, and often kidnap them while driving the victims to a bank, demanding large sums of money be removed and then given to her.
Defendant Summers is charged with Kidnapping 2nd Degree, Robbery 1st Degree, three counts Robbery 2nd Degree, two counts Robbery 3rd Degree, Assault 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree, Coercion 1st Degree, three counts Coercion 3rd Degree, Attempted Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, three counts Grand Larceny 4th Degree, Strangulation 2nd Degree, three counts Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd Degree, Assault 3rd Degree, Resisting Arrest, and Harassment 2nd Degree. She will be arraigned on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
