The Seventh Squad reports the arrest of a Brooklyn man for an incident that occurred on Friday, May 26, 2023, at 11:00 am in Massapequa.
According to Detectives, a notification was broadcast for a larceny that had occurred at Vitamin Shoppe, located at 2100 Merrick Road, Merrick. A Seventh Precinct Officer responded to Vitamin Shoppe, located at 1050A Sunrise Highway, Massapequa and parked his patrol car, as the location was a possible target for the subject. Shortly after, a subject matching the description from the previous larceny broadcast arrived and parked his vehicle in the lot. The subject, Abdourahmane Seck, 34, of 451 Kingston Avenue, entered the Vitamin Shoppe. The subject exited the location after a few minutes and was stopped by Seventh Precinct officers. After a thorough investigation the subject was placed into police custody without incident. Subsequent to the investigation a loaded Ruger LCP handgun was recovered from the defendant’s vehicle. Additionally, the defendant was linked to the following incidents:
- 05/21/23 - Robbery 3rd Degree, 345 Rockaway Turnpike, North Lawrence
- 05/26/23 - Petit Larceny, 2100 Merrick Road, Merrick
- 05/26/23 - Petit Larceny, 3145 Hempstead Turnpike, Levittown
- 05/26/23 - Petit Larceny, 2330 Jericho Turnpike, Garden City Park.
The Defendant, Abdourahmane Seck is charged with Robbery 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree and three counts of Petit Larceny. He will be arraigned on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
