The Third Squad reports the arrest of five (5) males for a robbery that occurred on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 4:09 p.m. in East Meadow.
According to Detectives, a male victim, 23, was working at the AT&T store located at 2411 Hempstead Turnpike when three male subjects entered the store. Defendant Ibrahim Fofana, 19, of 2951 Frederick Douglass Boulevard, Manhattan, defendant Ousmane Diallo, 18, of 432 East 162nd Street, Bronx and defendant Daouda Diarrassouba, 19, of 140 West 139th Street, Manhattan, punched the victim and forced him to the ground. They forced him and another employee, a female victim, 23, into the rear storage room by displaying a large handle knife and cut a female victim employee on her right pinky finger causing a laceration. They did not allow them to leave the room and forced the victims to unlock the store safe. The subjects removed numerous cell phones, iPads and air pods totaling in approximately $60,000.00 USD in proceeds, $50.00 USD from the cash register and the male victims cell phone. The three defendants then exited the store through the rear emergency exit door and entered in a blue Toyota Rav4 occupied by defendant Mujib Bonkano, 20, of 1140 Burke Avenue, Bronx and defendant Amadou Niono, 21, of 56 East 131st Street, Manhattan and fled the scene. After a thorough investigation, NYPD officers were able to locate the vehicle occupied by all five defendants and placed them all under arrest without incident. The defendants were transported by Nassau County Police to the Third Precinct for arrest processing.
Defendant Ibrahim Fofana, defendant Ousmane Diallo, defendant Daouda Diarrassouba, defendant Mujib Bonkano and defendant Amadou Niono are all being charged with Robbery in the 1st Degree, Robbery in the 2nd Degree, Assault in the 2nd Degree, Assault in the 3rd Degree and two (2) counts of Unlawful Imprisonment in the 1st Degree. Defendant Fofana, defendant Diallo and defendant Diarrassouba are additionally being charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree. They are all being arraigned on Friday, May 26, 2023, at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
