The Homicide Squad reports the details of a serious vehicular accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 9:42 am in Rockville Centre.
According to detectives, a 24-year-old male was walking southbound on North Village Avenue crossing Lakeview Avenue when he was struck by 2024 gray Toyota Rav4 being operated by an 84-year-old female traveling westbound on Lakeview Avenue. The pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital where he is currently in critical condition. The driver remained on scene and the investigation is ongoing.
