The Fifth Squad reports the arrest of a Valley Stream woman for an incident that occurred on Monday, July 13, 2026 at 8:40 pm in Valley Stream.

According to Detectives, officers responded to a Valley Stream residence for a domestic disturbance. Upon police arrival, officers were informed that a female subject, Rose Yee, 68, was involved in a verbal argument with a male victim, 68. The argument escalated and the female subject became irate and began to throw lit matches at the victim. Rose began threatening to burn the house down and lit a clothing item on fire in front the house. Subsequent to the investigation, officers located the defendant and placed her under arrest without further incident. The Defendant Rose Yee was transported to a local area hospital for evaluation. No injuries were reported. Further investigation revealed the defendant had violated an active Order of Protection.

Defendant Rose Yee is charged with Criminal Contempt 1st Degree and Menacing 2nd Degree. She will be arraigned on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street Hempstead.
