The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Fatal Vehicular Accident that occurred on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 10:42 am in Uniondale.

According to detectives, a 25-year-old male was operating a 2001 Toyota sedan traveling eastbound on Hempstead Turnpike at the intersection of Glen Curtiss Boulevard when he crossed over and collided with a 2006 white BMW traveling westbound on Hempstead Turnpike being operated by a 34-year-old male. The driver of the BMW and his 34-year-old female passenger were transported to a nearby hospital for minor injuries. The driver of the Toyota was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased by hospital physician. There were no other injuries reported on scene and the investigation is ongoing.
