The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Serious Vehicular Accident that occurred on Friday, May 29, 2026 at 11:38 p.m. in North Hills.
According to detectives, a 53-year-old male was operating a 2011 Mack Tractor Trailer westbound on the Long Island Expressway near exit 34 when he rear ended a 2023 Honda Civic operated by a 32-year-old male. The Honda had two passengers, a 33 and a 31-year-old male. The operator of the tractor trailer had no injuries. All three occupants of the Honda were transported by Nassau County Police Department Ambulances to local hospitals for treatment. The operator of the Honda and the 33-year-old passenger were treated for minor injuries. The 31-year-old passenger is in critical condition. The investigation is ongoing.
