Nassau County Police K-9 & Mounted Unit Graduation
Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman, Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder and the Nassau Police Foundation announce that the Nassau County Police Department’s K-9 Unit & Mounted Unit have one new canine dog and two new horses graduating from an intense training program.
K-9 Jefe, as well as horses Destry and Hudson, donated by the Nassau Police Foundation, have each been trained to specialize in narcotics, tracking missing persons, evidence recovery, criminal apprehension, crowd control, surveillance duties and community relations
Media is cordially invited to attend and interview police officers as well as observe the police horses and K-9 demonstrations
