The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Queens man for a Burglary that occurred on Saturday, September, 19, 2026 at 10:18 p.m. in East Garden City.

According to Detectives, a male victim and owner of Morning Delights, a restaurant located in the basement level of 666 Old Country Road, received a notification on his phone for motion picked up by his security camera. The victim responded to his business and witnessed an unknown male inside of the building using tools to attempt to open another businesses door. He told the defendant to leave, which he refused to do. The victim went outside of the building and called police. After a thorough investigation, police placed the defendant, Josiah Paul, 26, of 160-11 89th Avenue, Jamaica, under arrest without further incident. The victim reported damage to his entry door and missing food items.

Defendant Josiah Paul is charged with Burglary 3rd degree, Criminal Mischief 3rd degree, Possession of Burglar Tools, Petit Larceny, and Criminal Trespass 3rd degree. He was arraigned on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
