The Major Case Squad reports the arrest of a Queens man on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 9:15 pm for multiple burglaries that occurred throughout Nassau County.
According to Detectives, the defendant unlawfully entered various residences in New Hyde Park, Westbury, Bethpage, Woodmere and Roslyn Heights. Once inside, the subject removed assorted jewelry, designer handbags and US currency. After an extensive investigation was conducted the defendant was located and placed under arrest without incident.
Defendant Mario Hurtado Galindo, 37, of 178-19 147th Avenue, Queens is charged with six (6) counts of Burglary 2nd Degree, six (6) counts of Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree and has an Arrest Warrant for Burglary out of Richmond, Texas. Further investigation revealed the defendant is also illegally in the United States and is subject to removal proceedings. He will be arraigned on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
