Narcotics/Vice Squad Detectives report the arrest of a Bellrose Terrace man during an overdose investigation on Thursday, August, 6, 2026 at 4:35 pm in Wantagh.
According to detectives, an investigation into a non-fatal overdose of a Nassau County resident, led to the arrest of Defendant Jack Acquafredda, 23, of 9425 239th Street. Detectives placed the defendant under arrest without incident. Subsequent to the investigation, the following items were recovered at the defendant’s residence:
- Cocaine – approximately 41 grams
- MDMA – approximately 28.9 grams
- Psilocybin Mushrooms – approximately 1.5 pounds
- Ketamine – approximately 5.3 grams
- Amphetamine and Dextroamphetamine 30 MG Pills – approximately 54.5 grams (132 pills)
- LSD – approximately 56 tabs – 0.6 grams
- Clonazepam Pill – 1 pill – 0.2 grams
- Cannabis – in excess of 10 pounds
- Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) Gummies, Wax & Vapes – excess of several hundred items
- Flavored Nicotine Vapes – in excess of several hundred items
- $ 30,160.00 in US currency – believed to be proceeds from drug transactions
- Switchblade Knife
- Money Counter, Multiple Drug Scales, Assorted Drug Packaging Materials
During the investigation, Persephone Abert, 22, of 527 N. 11th Street, New Hyde Park was also arrested.
Defendant Acquafredda and Abert are charged with three (3) counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th Degree, Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 4th Degree, four (4) counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree, Criminal Possession on a Weapon 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of Cannabis 1st Degree.
Acquafredda is additionally charged with another count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, three (3) additional counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree. They will be arraigned on Friday, August 7, 2026 at First District Court, Hempstead.
