The First Squad reports the arrest of a female juvenile for multiple Assaults that occurred on Friday, May 22, 2026 at 9:30 p.m. in Merrick.
According to Detectives, a 14-year-old female victim and a 15-year-old female victim report being assaulted and suffering injuries at 2099 Sunrise Highway on the above date and time. The 15-year-old victim reports being struck several times on her head and after falling to the ground, was kicked repeatedly in the head. She went to a local area hospital for evaluation and treatment. The 14-year-old victim reports being dragged to the ground and struck repeatedly in the head. After a thorough investigation, a 13-year-old female was arrested without incident.
The female juvenile defendant is charged with 2 counts of Assault 3rd Degree. She is due to appear in Family Court at a later date.

An additional 14-year-old female was arrested for her involvement in the above incident. Further investigation found that this juvenile was also involved in another assault in the vicinity of 2099 Sunrise Highway. The juvenile attacked two 15-year-old female victims by dragging them to the ground by their hair and repeatedly striking them in the head. She is charged with four counts of Assault 3rd Degree. She is due to appear in Family Court at a later date.
