The Fifth Squad reports the details of an incident that occurred on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 5:45 pm in Valley Stream.
According to detectives, officers responded to a Verona Place residence for the report of a dog bite. Upon arrival, a 74-year-old male victim had suffered a laceration to his neck. The victim was transported to a local area hospital for evaluation and treatment. He is listed in stable condition. The Town of Hempstead Animal Control responded to the scene.
