The Arson Bomb Squad reports the details of a Fire that occurred on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at 5:05 pm in Hempstead.
According to Detectives, Nassau County Third Precinct officers and the Hempstead Police Department responded to a transformer fire located on the exterior of Nassau County District Court located at 99 Main Steet. Upon arrival, Officers observed heavy smoke and flames originating from that area. The Hempstead Fire Department and neighboring fire departments responded to extinguish the flames. No injuries were reported. The Nassau County Fire Marshal and the Nassau County Arson Bomb Squad responded to the scene.
The fire was deemed non-suspicious at this time.
