The Public Information Office reports the details of an Incident that occurred on Sunday, July 26, 2026 at 6:16 pm in East Williston.
According to police, a grey 2019 Jeep was traveling westbound on East Williston Avenue. The male operator, 77, suffered a medical episode causing the vehicle to leave the roadway. The Jeep struck North Side Elementary School located at 110 East Williston Avenue on the north side.
The operator was removed to an area hospital for treatment and evaluation.
Nassau County Emergency Services Unit responded to remove the vehicle from the building.
East Williston Fire Department was on scene a deemed the building safe.
