The Narcotics Vice Squad reports the arrest of two Florida males for the Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance that occurred on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 8:54 PM in Plainview.
According to Detectives, an investigation was conducted by the Narcotics Vice Squad with the assistance of the Criminal Intelligence Rapid Response Team (CIRRT) that resulted in 312 kilograms of what is believed to be cocaine. Defendants Michael Viera, 40 of 600 Integra Dunes Circle, Deland and Daniel Santana, 35 of 1675 10th Avenue, Deland were both placed under arrest without incident.
Both defendants are charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree. They were arraigned on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
