The Public Information Office reports the arrest of one male and one female for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance that occurred on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at 11:12 p.m. in East Garden City
According to police, Strategic Response Team (SRT) Officers, while on intensified patrol in the vicinity of Stewart Avenue and Merchants Concourse conducting vehicle and traffic enforcement, the following individuals were arrested:
Defendant Antony Perry, 58, of 6701 Colonial Road, Brooklyn is charged with Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 5th Degree and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree.
Defendant Lashana Wright, 46, of 21 Hudson Place, Hempstead is charged with Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 5th Degree.
Both Defendants were arraigned on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at Nassau County Court, 262 Old Country Road, Garden City.
