Special Victims Detectives report the arrests of two (2) men for a Rape that occurred on Saturday, September 6, 2025 in Roosevelt.
According to detectives, Oscar Rivera Marquez, 20, of 93 Suter Street, Harrisonburg, Virginia, and Ever Antonio Iraheta Mira, 29, of 175 Daffodil Avenue, Franklin Square, contacted a female victim through social media and arranged to meet. The juvenile victim was persuaded with an offer to use a marijuana vape. The subjects had inappropriate contact with the victim at the Roosevelt Preserve located at Brooklyn Avenue and Frederick Avenue.
A thorough investigation was conducted and Oscar Rivera Marquez and Ever Antonio Iraheta Mira were arrested.
Both defendants are charged with two (2) counts of Rape 1st Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Marquez was arraigned on Friday, February 20, 2026. Mira will be arraigned on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at First District Court, Hempstead.
