County Executive Bruce A. Blakeman and Police Commissioner Patrick J. Ryder will hold a solemn memorial ceremony for all deceased members of the Department and those officers who have made the Supreme Sacrifice.
Floral tributes will be placed at the memorial honoring all deceased members and will close with the reading of the names of the Fifty (50) Nassau County Police Officers who have made the Supreme Sacrifice.
Included in this year’s memorial ceremony will be a special tribute to Lieutenant William G. Krupa. His name has been cast in bronze and permanently mounted on the Memorial Honor Roll for those members who have made the Supreme Sacrifice.
The Ceremonial Unit, Police Pipe Band, Color Guard and Aviation Unit will participate along with other department members and dignitaries.
