The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Serious Vehicular Accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 7:49 a.m. in Freeport.
According to Detectives, a tan 2003 Toyota minivan was traveling on South Main Street, making a left onto East Merrick Road when it struck a 60-year-old female pedestrian who was crossing East Merrick Road. The pedestrian sustained serious physical injuries and was transported to an area hospital where she is in critical condition. The driver remained at scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
