The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Georgia man for an incident that occurred on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 5:39 PM in East Garden City.

According to detectives, officers conducted a Vehicle and Traffic Law investigation on a 2026 Mercedes in the vicinity of Zeckendorf Boulevard and East Gate Boulevard. During the course of the investigation, officers recovered a loaded firearm with a high-capacity magazine inside the vehicle. The driver, Defendant Sarabjeet Singh, 47, of 6 Belmont Ct SE Rome, Georgia was placed under arrest without incident.

Defendant Sarabjeet Singh is charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Criminal Possession of a weapon 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree and numerous Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He will be arraigned on Friday, June 26, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
