The Seventh Squad reports the arrest of a Seaford woman for Arson that occurred on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 8:14 p.m. in Seaford.
According to Detectives, officers responded to a Neptune Avenue residence for a domestic disturbance. Upon police arrival, officers were informed that a female subject, Lisa Decaprio, 59, was involved in a verbal argument with a male victim, 63. The argument escalated and the female subject became irate and began throw items at the victim. Decaprio began threatening to burn the house down and lit a pillow on fire. The fire was extinguished prior to police arrival. Subsequent to the investigation, officers located the defendant and placed her under arrest without further incident. The Defendant Lisa Decaprio was transported to a local area hospital for evaluation. No injuries were reported.
Defendant Lisa Decaprio is charged with Arson 2nd Degree and Harassment 2nd Degree. She will be arraigned on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street Hempstead.
