The Major Case Squad reports the arrest of three (3) individuals for Conspiracy that occurred on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 10:40 am in Lawrence.
According to detectives, a male victim, 59, who is a jeweler, left his residence in Lawrence and traveled to Manalapan, New Jersey where he had merchandise valued at 1.2 million dollars taken from his vehicle.
The Major Case Squad in conjunction with the Manalapan Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) from the Tampa Bay office conducted an investigation and it was discovered that the victim’s residence was being surveilled multiple times prior to the incident and he was followed into New Jersey.
On February 20, 2026 the following subjects were arrested:
Yina Paola, 34, of 5052 96 Avenue, Corona.
Jairo Fernan Diaz, 43, of 2024 172nd Street, College Point.
Cristian Adolfo Preciado Almanza, undomiciled.
All defendants are charged with Conspiracy 4th Degree and were released on appearance tickets. US Immigration Customs Enforcement Agents (ICE) took custody of the defendants.
