The Fourth Squad reports the arrest of four individuals for a Burglary that occurred on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at 10:06 PM in Hewlett Neck.
According to Detectives, Police responded to a Smith Lane residence for four subjects searching a parked vehicle before entering into an open garage. Police located the four subjects riding on three scooters and one bicycle and attempted to flee the scene on foot. Officers conducted a thorough investigation that resulted in two 17-year-old female juveniles and defendants Emmanuel Rivera, 18 and Quadir Ingram, 18, both of 460 West 41st Street, Manhattan being located and arrested. Defendant Quadir Ingram refused verbal commands while in the process of being arrested and resulted in an Electronic Control Device (ECD) being deployed in order to subdue him. Defendant Quadir Ingram was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment. While at the hospital, defendant Ingram did spit at an Officer and headbutted him, causing pain and injury to the Officer. The Officer was also assessed and treated for injuries sustained by the defendant. Further investigation resulted in the scooters and bicycle having been reported stolen.
The two female juveniles are being charged with Petit Larceny and released on appearance tickets. Defendants Emmanuel Rivera and Quadir Ingram are both being charged with two counts of Petit Larceny and Burglary 2nd. Defendant Ingram is additionally being charged with Assault 2nd. They will be arraigned on Monday, June 8, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
