The Public Information Office reports the arrest of a Coney Island woman for Grand Larceny that occurred on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 1:35 a.m. in Valley Stream.
According to Police, Fifth Precinct Officers responded to a call of a suspicious female who was inside the victim’s parked vehicle on Munro Boulevard. A description of the subject was broadcasted and a canvassing Canine Unit Officer located the female on Munro Boulevard and conducted an investigation. During the course of the arrest, the defendant, Charmaine Skeen, 21, of 2832 West 23rd Street was violent and combative while resisting arrest. Further investigation revealed that the defendant took items from a second vehicle and was in possession of the victim’s personal identification and property at the time of the arrest.
Defendant Skeen is charged with Grand Larceny 4th Degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree, Petit Larceny, Resisting Arrest, Criminal Mischief 4th Degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd Degree and Harassment 2nd Degree. She will be arraigned on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
