The Fifth Squad reports the details of an incident that occurred on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 12:03AM in Elmont.

According to Detectives, officers responded to a Covert Avenue residence for a disturbance. Upon further investigation, it was determined that an unknown person discharged a firearm and fled scene in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
