The Public Information Office reports the details of an Aided Case that occurred on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at 11:26 pm in Roslyn Heights.
According to police, officers responded to a 911 call for a chocking baby. Upon arrival, officers were informed that the mother’s attempt to dislodge the obstruction was unsuccessful and observed the infant coughing and crying. Officers delivered back slaps to dislodge the item and were able to remove a plastic wrapper obstructing his airway.
A Nassau County Police Medic examined the infant at the scene and it was determined no additional medical treatment was necessary.
