The Second Squad reports the arrest of a Queens man for domestic incidents that occurred from June 15, 2026 to July 7, 2026 in Nassau County.
According to Detectives, Defendant Balraj Singh, 28, of 9122 118th Street, Richmond Hill was involved in a domestic disturbance with a female victim, 19. On numerous occasions the defendant made threats both verbally and electronically to the victim placing her in fear for her life. The defendant then demanded the victim meet him at a specific location and enter his vehicle to avoid repercussions. The victim complied and the defendant proceeded to strike her numerous times in the face and then drive away despite the victim pleading to exit his vehicle. The defendant then displayed a box cutter and drove the victim to the Abbey Motor Inn located at 317 W. Jericho Turnpike, Huntington and refused to let her leave. The victim then dialed 911.
After an extensive investigation, the victim who was being held against her will, was located and the Defendant Balraj Singh was placed under arrest without incident. Further investigation revealed the defendant had violated a valid Order of Protection.
The Defendant Balraj Singh is charged with Kidnapping 2nd Degree, three (3) counts of Criminal Contempt, Unlawful Imprisonment 1st Degree, three (3) counts of Aggravated Harassment 2nd Degree, Menacing 2nd Degree and Harassment 2nd Degree. He was arraigned on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 in First District Court 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
