The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Fatal Aided that occurred on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. in Bellmore.
According to Detectives, First precinct officers responded to a Tanwood Court residence for an Aided case. Upon arrival, it was determined that a male landscaper was cutting down a tree when a downed limb struck an electrical line, causing the tree to become energized. As a result, the male landscaper was electrocuted. A Nassau County Police Medic pronounced the victim at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
