The First Squad reports the arrest of a New Jersey man for a Grand Larceny that occurred on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 12:00 pm in Uniondale.
According to detectives, a homeowner retained the services of a construction firm by the name of North Falcon Construction Company, 285 Avenue C, New York, NY, 10009. The victim issued a check for $59,202.50, made payable to a man who claimed his name was Mohammed Ali. This name turned out to be a false name and used as an alias by the defendant, now known as Zohaib Farrukh, 37, of 68 Redbud Road, Piscataway, New Jersey. Defendant Farrukh cashed the check and the victim never received any services. The victim then called police after making numerous, unsuccessful attempts to contact him.
On November 22, 2025 at 3:15 pm, First Squad Detectives with the assistance of First Precinct Officers located Defendant Zohaib Farrukh and placed him under arrest.
Defendant Zohaib Farrukh is charged with Grand Larceny 2nd Degree and Scheme to Defraud 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
