The Second Squad reports the arrest of two Plainview men for an incident that occurred on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at 12:48 PM in Hicksville.
According to Detectives, Officers responded to Our Lady of Mercy Church located at 500 South Oyster Bay Road for a larceny report. Upon arrival, it was determined that two males removed US currency from a donation box inside the church. After a thorough investigation, Second Squad Detectives located Defendants Yeremi Veras Martinez, 23, of 644 Old Country Road and Christopher Alvarado, 19, of 461 South Oyster Bay Road. They were placed under arrest without incident.
Defendants Yeremi Veras Martinez and Christopher Alvarado are both charged with Grand Larceny 4th Degree, Conspiracy 6th Degree, Possession of Burglar Tools and Petit Larceny. They will be arraigned on Sunday, October 18, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
