The Electronics Squad / Fraud & Forgery Section reports the arrest of a Bellmore woman for a Grand Larceny that occurred on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 6:39 pm in West Hempstead.
According to detectives, a female health aide, 60, was observed on a home video surveillance removing a black locked box containing US currency. The 95-year-old victim’s son became aware of the incident and contacted police.
After a thorough investigation, Madeline Barranco, 60, of 130 Linden Street was arrested.
Defendant Madeline Barranco is charged with Grand Larceny 3rd Degree. She was arraigned on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
