The Narcotics/Vice Squad reports the arrest of a Floral Park woman for Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance on January 28, 2026 at 2:20 pm in Bellerose Terrace.
According to detectives, officers conducted an investigation at Hempire, located at 244-08 Jericho Turnpike. The investigation revealed that Jaspira K. Thomas, 31, of 244-08 Jericho Turnpike, while working at the above location, sold tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and a greenish-brown leafy substance believed to be cannabis. During the investigation police observed a large quantity of THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) and Cannabis products that were displayed for sale. Jaspira Thomas was placed under arrest without incident.
The investigation also revealed that Defendant Thomas had left her 4-year-old daughter unattended in a second-floor apartment of 244-08 Jericho Turnpike, Floral Park, while she conducted sales at the smoke shop. The child was released into the custody of a family member.
Defendant Jaspira K. Thomas is charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree, two (2) counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Unlawful Sale of Cannabis. She will be arraigned on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
