The Public Information Office reports the details of a Water Emergency that occurred on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at 8:27 pm in Massapequa.
According to Police, 911 received a call for a jet skier in distress near Little Goose Island. Nassau County Aviation Helicopter 6, Nassau County Marine 6 and TOB Bay Constables responded. Helicopter 6 utilized their spotlight to locate the 2024 Sea Doo jet ski with two (2) male riders. The jet ski struck the ground and become disabled. The males were not injured and safely transported by TOB Bay Constables to Treasure Island Marina. The jet ski was towed to the same location.
