The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Homicide that occurred on Monday, June 29, 2026 at 8:44 AM in North Massapequa.
According to Detectives, Officers responded to a N Oak Street residence for a 911 call for a request for an ambulance due to a female who was not breathing. Upon police arrival, they located an unresponsive 25-year-old. CPR was administered and she was transported to a local area hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
After a thorough investigation, the defendant Joseph Horner, 27, of 285 N Oak Street, North Massapequa, was placed into custody at scene. Defendant Joseph Horner is charged with Murder 2nd degree. He is being arraigned on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
